How to use the planner

Use this aerial planner to explore the resort layout around the existing venue. Footprints, roads and survey outlines are planning graphics. Start with the approved layout, make changes, then save a JSON copy to share or keep a version.

Select and edit elements

  1. Choose a suite or amenity from the sidebar dropdown, or click its footprint on the map. The selected element’s settings appear below the dropdown.
  2. Drag an unlocked footprint to move it. Its access spur follows its new position. Units can move across the main road.
  3. Change Name to update its dropdown entry and map label. Length and Width are the full planning envelope in feet, including a suite’s private outdoor allowance.
  4. Interior is a suite’s enclosed square footage. The dark roof represents this area; the remaining gold envelope is outdoor space. If interior area exceeds the envelope, the planner increases length to fit it.
  5. Change Rotation in degrees or drag the blue rotation handle beyond the footprint edge. Suite parking sits against the building side, away from the deck.
  6. Enable Lock position to prevent map dragging, rotation-handle dragging and removal. Numeric fields remain editable. Unlock it before dragging again.

Add and remove suites

+ Add suite copies the selected suite’s dimensions and rotation, or the first suite if an amenity is selected. It searches nearby for an open position inside the boundary and adds a one-car driveway. Rename and position it as needed. If no suitable position is found, check the boundary warning and reposition it manually.

Select an unlocked suite and use Remove suite. The last remaining suite cannot be removed. Removal also clears its road attachment; the main road stays in place. Use Undo to bring it back. The suite count updates automatically.

Front office and amenities

+ Front office adds one proposed 30 × 20 ft office near the entrance. Edit its footprint and location as needed; its access spur follows it. The button is disabled while an office exists. Select and unlock the office to remove it.

The amenity center starts at 80 × 60 ft with a 40 × 20 ft pool, deck, loungers and covered communal space. Resizing its envelope can reduce the pool graphic to keep it inside. The firepit starts at 24 ft across. The pickleball graphic has a 20 × 44 ft playing court inside a starting 34 × 64 ft envelope; the envelope cannot be reduced below 30 × 60 ft. These are editable planning allowances.

The Dove Dome is an existing structure, initially locked, with a 25 ft dome and 3 ft water moat around it: 31 ft overall. Reception/deck, ceremony areas and the existing pavilion remain part of the aerial background; they are not separately draggable footprints.

Main roads and access spurs

  1. Click Draw road, then click points on the map to define its route. Click Finish road or press Escape to finish. A route needs at least two points; a shorter unfinished route is discarded.
  2. In normal move mode, drag white road nodes to reshape the smooth route. Remove last road removes the last road in the plan, rather than a road selected on the map. Undo restores it.
  3. Road width sets every main road to the entered width, between 8 and 40 ft.
  4. The main road starts at the movable entrance gate. Moving the gate shifts the road’s first point; moving that first point shifts the gate. The starting layout continues into the existing parking area.
  5. Select an unlocked suite or amenity to see its blue access-road bend handle. Drag it sideways to curve the spur. Its ends remain connected to the nearest main-road location and the footprint’s access point. Moving the footprint keeps the bend offset; the nearest-road connection can change.

Suite driveways are 10 ft wide, with a 10 × 20 ft one-car bay on the building side. Office, amenity-center and court access spurs are 12 ft wide; the firepit has a 6 ft path. Spurs are generated automatically when a main road exists.

Road follows units is normally off: moving suites leaves the main road in place and updates their driveways. Turn it on to flex road points attached to units as those units move. Not every added suite necessarily has an attached main-road node; its driveway still follows it. Manual rotation changes its access orientation; it does not automatically rotate the suite toward the road again.

Boundary, measurements and scale

Enable Move boundary, then drag the outline or empty space inside it. The entire polygon and its survey labels move together. Corners cannot be moved independently. Turn the option off to return to editing footprints and roads.

The five survey distances stay fixed: 589.18, 111.56, 801.07, 622.74 and 693.58 ft. Translating the outline changes its visual alignment, not the survey geometry or measurements.

Map pixels / ft controls the uniform drawing scale, initially approximately 0.90. Higher values enlarge proposed footprints and road widths on the aerial. The 100 ft scale bar updates with it. Changing scale does not resize the aerial or parcel outline.

The status panel reports footprints crossing the boundary. Check it after moving, rotating, adding or enlarging structures. It does not check setbacks, overlaps, trees, grades, utilities or access feasibility. The county image is not georeferenced; this is a concept planner, not a construction or survey drawing.

Compare views and night mode

Hide resort additions switches to the existing-property view, hiding proposed footprints, roads and their lighting while retaining the aerial and Dove Dome. Click Show resort additions to return. Adding a suite or office also reveals additions.

Night mode darkens the aerial and adds ambient lighting around proposed and existing structures. Day mode returns to the normal view. Lighting is a visual concept, not a fixture or electrical plan. Show names toggles map labels; it does not remove the elements.

On smaller screens, scroll the map area to reach its edges and scroll the sidebar independently to reach more settings.

Undo, defaults, saving and sharing

Undo reverses edits, including moves, dimension changes, added/removed suites and road changes. Redo reapplies an undone edit. A new edit clears the redo history. The planner keeps up to 40 undo snapshots during the current session; refreshing clears this history.

Restore default layout loads the approved default suites, amenities, roads and boundary. It preserves the current Dove Dome placement. This action is undoable. Save your current plan first if you want a lasting copy.

Refresh normally reloads your browser’s automatically saved working plan; it is not a reset. A newly published default or one-time migration may update selected parts of an older saved plan. Browser storage belongs to this browser and website address; the local file and live website have separate saved states.

  1. Save plan downloads a JSON file containing the editable layout, dimensions, boundary and road data. Give versions meaningful filenames. This is the file to keep for future editing.
  2. Open plan loads a saved JSON layout into the current working session. Undo can recover the previous session layout immediately after loading. Opening a file does not change the published default.
  3. Export map downloads an SVG image of the current day/night and comparison view, with embedded aerial assets. It is useful for visual sharing; open the JSON to resume editing.

To share an editable layout, send the JSON file and the live planner link. The recipient uses Open plan. Each visitor has their own browser-local edits; there is no shared live editing or server-side plan storage. Updating the live website requires uploading the refreshed Cloudflare package as a new deployment. To make a saved layout the approved default, provide the saved JSON for updating the packaged default.
